By now, the world is all too familiar with the stories surrounding the tragedy at the July 20 Dark Knight Rises midnight screening in Aurora, Colorado. One story in particular stands out as especially pertinent and poignant to the Colorado comedy scene: that of Caleb Medley, a local comedian who…

Have you been to Mandarin House? We usually eat there almost every night during D*Con. They have yummy tofu. Also Azio is good Italian. Try not to worry about Southwest.. what’s done is done and all that. Cameras: eBay? Craigslist?
I don’t think I’ve had Mandarin House… is that in the food court? I’m probably bringing a bunch of granola bars and vegan jerky to get by. I hear ya on Southwest, it’s more of an issue that we spent waaaaay too much money a few months ago and it is really screwing us now. Eh, I can’t change it though. I’ve had my eye on a few cameras on Craigslist… in a perfect world I could trade my PS3 for a DSLR, but that wouldn’t exactly be a fair trade.
Holy pancakes, it’s almost here! I’ve had so much on my mind lately that it has barely registered how close it is. Due to a check getting lost in the mail, we haven’t been able to buy any costume stuff yet. Pretty much everything we are doing is just buying items and putting them together, so we should still be okay.
The Onion, as always, knocking it out of the park with this one.
A masked gunman shot dead 10 people and wounded 30 to 40 others at a showing of new Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises” at a movie theater in the U.S. city of Denver, local radio station KOA reported on Friday, citing witnesses.
The radio station said a figure in a gas mask had opened fire at the late-night showing in a mall in the suburb of Aurora and set off a smoke or tear gas bomb. It said initial police estimates were of 30-40 injured.
Dozens of police were at the scene, CNN footage showed.
KOA said authorities were evacuating the area while they checked if there was an exploding device there.
CNN quoted one witness as saying he saw a “guy slowly making his way up the stairs and firing, picking random people”.
It said local hospitals were alerted to a “mass casualty incident”.
HOLY FUCKING SHIT. This was only about 10-15 minutes from where I live.

Yes. Exactly.
